Privacy

This site is static and sets no cookies of its own. It runs on a virtual server rented from Contabo GmbH in Munich. The web server records each request (IP address, time, page, browser) in log files that are kept for up to 90 days to operate and secure the site, and are then deleted.

Forms on this site (orders, commissions, contact) are stored on that same server, where only I have access to them. Each record keeps what you typed together with the time, your IP address and your browser string — that is the evidence of who placed an order and when. I use the details only to answer your request and to fulfil an order, I do not pass them on, and I delete them when the matter is closed, unless bookkeeping law requires me to keep an invoice.

If you sign up for the newsletter, I store your address together with the time and IP address of the sign-up and of your confirmation — that record is the proof of consent the law asks for. Every message carries a link that takes you off the list; after that I keep only the note that the address unsubscribed.

The reader app processes photographs entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

The fonts are served from this same server. Nothing on this site is loaded from a third party, so your browser tells no one else that you were here.

You can ask at any time what data I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to the address in the imprint.
