Ὁ δὲ Θησεὺς λαβὼν παρὰ τῆς Ἀριάδνης τὸ λίνον, καὶ τοῦτο ἐξάψας τῆς θύρας, ἐφεῖλκεν εἰσιών. Καταλαβὼν δὲ τὸν Μινώταυρον ἐν ἐσχάτῳ μέρει τοῦ λαβυρίνθου, παίων πυγμαῖς ἀπέκτεινεν, ἐφελκόμενος δὲ τὸ λίνον πάλιν ἐξῄει. In English, my rendering
Theseus, having received the thread from Ariadne, fastened it to the door and, paying it out, went in. He found the Minotaur in the innermost part of the labyrinth and killed him with his fists; then, winding the thread back, he came out again.
